Should I get slim or old fat one? Which is less faulty and shit? > Anonymous Sat Oct 19 10:42:51 2013 No.1145130 What should I pay attention to when buying used PS1? How would I go about this? All the software plugins I have used gave no resolution increase > Anonymous Sat Oct 19 10:40:21 2013 No.1145129 i played through grandia, wild arms and breath of fire 3 without any problems at all > Anonymous Sat Oct 19 10:33:21 2013 No.1145125 i would recommend pSX if you dont want to bother with plugins, it wont run everything but it sure runs alot without any trouble. I got mixed results from various emulators and games. Play it on the go or while watching TV or even hook it up with the AV cable to my CRT for that old timey feeling. >get my soldering gun, tools, light etc all ready to go >games are fun but there are ones I want to play that I don't own >buy a ps1 off ebay because I want to play some old games and emulating is wank If you're on Windows it's probably a good idea to wait for it to be added to Retroarch. Seconding Mednafen though you'll need to find BIOS files, and be substituting plugin hell for overall difficulty and lack of GUI. If PSIO actually comes out anytime soon, i'll definitely get one of those. I want 100% accuracy and speed, so I stopped trying to emulate ps1. I use a slim ps2 with mem card hack and psx loader to play burned games. There are a few ways to get accurate, software-rendered high resolution graphics, but they either entail a massive speed hit, or playing on a phone. That's because "improving the resolution" usually entails HLE hardware-accelerated graphics, which is inherently less accurate than LLE software-rendered graphics. > Anonymous Sat Oct 19 06:56:37 2013 No.1144972ĮPSXe 1.90 works for me > Anonymous Sat Oct 19 06:59:38 2013 No.1144978įor Megaman X4 i used mednafen and it worked pretty well, wouldn't know about graphical intensive games however, never played one of them. Mednafen is getting pretty good, that is if you want your games to look the same as they do on the original playstation. Get the latest one from emucr > Anonymous Sat Oct 19 06:16:02 2013 No.1144952 For games that really need all 4 shoulder buttons, I would just go with PCSX Reloaded. With a PSP, the only sensible way to do it. Besides I want to improve the resolution but it seems there is no way to do thins without sacrificing compatability > Anonymous Sat Oct 19 00:47:06 2013 No.1144592 Well I did try xebra but it didnt like da windows. You can't dick around with plugins, but it's accurate, and works. In all seriousness guys how do you emulate the PSone? Ive never had a single one work without serious lag and framstutter bugs except of course pSX 1.13.
